Vintage Hand Beaded Silk Evening Gown SIZE 3-5XL Turquoise Silver Wedding Event
Estate find, this beautiful dress came from the estate of a local society lady.
Although the gown is labeled a size "5XL",  it was made in India where sizing guides tend to differ quite a bit from ours.  A size 2XL friend tried the dress on and stated that she felt it was one size too big for her but could certainly wear it if she wanted it roomy.  So we believe it to be closer to an American size 3XL.  It's also very long and suited for a taller, more statuesque person or someone wearing high heels.  Our model is 5'9" and it was great on her PLUS she could wear a heel.
There is some wear to the fabric and
beading, particularly near the hem, and in other areas like armholes and neckline.  It is very much in keeping with the vintage status of the dress (1980's) and the fact that it's made of pure silk, but these things are very repairable with a bit of handiwork-- or just leave as-is.  We recommend dry cleaning.
