Victorian Brussels Point de Gaze Duchesse Bobbin Lace Bridal Wedding Headdress Cap
This antique Victorian era Belgian Brussels Point de Gaze Duchesse bobbin lace bridal wedding headdress cap dates from 1900. The headpiece is made of wire frame and covered with an off white cream color handmade sheer white filmy linen lace, with veined, raised threads flowers and leaves, joined by braided plaits and has Rose Point de Gaze needle lace flower medallion inserts. This beautiful bridal wedding headdress has a small kerchief cap style with a wired front stand up brim crown, a draped lace curtain back, a small hair comb has been added in the front and is sheer, net lined inside. The cap measures 10 inches long from top crown to back drape and is 11 inches wide across the front opening. It is in good condition, with a few broken bent exposed wires and loose lace in areas. This is truly a wonderful wedding beautiful bridal one of a kind headpiece of wearable antique Victoriana lace art!
