Up for sale is a Takamura Chromax Tsuchime (Hammered) 210mm Gyuto. Gyuto are Japanese general purpose kitchen blades, much like the Western chef's knife, and are adept at cutting a wide variety of foods.  Gyuto in this size range are extremely popular with home and professional users.
Takamura is known for producing beautifully made knives, using some of the most advanced steels available on the market. Their fit and finish is amongst the best I have personally seen on Japanese knives, at any price. The Takamura Chromax Tsuchime 210mm Gyuto is laser thin, extremely light, perfectly balanced, and razor sharp right out of the box.  This line of Chromax knives from Takamura features full length tangs with one-piece apricot colored laminate handles, and stainless bolsters.
The Takamura Chromax 210mm Gyuto features a beautiful hammering, and overall very high standards of fit and finish.  The hammered finish is also functional, as it lessens the chances of foods sticking to the blades.
Chromax is a proprietary Takamura high carbon steel, able to be hardened to the mid-60's HRC without becoming brittle.  Sharpening effort, degree of ultimate sharpness, and edge retention of Chromax are quite similar to Aogami Super in my experience.  Chromax doesn't develop patina as quickly as some other classic high carbon steels, but will do so with some use.  General use and care practices for reactive steels should be followed with Chromax.

Please do not put this knife in a dishwasher, and do not cut frozen foods, bone, or other hard material.  Since the core of the blade is made from reactive steel, it is important to keep the blade clean and dry.  To prevent scratching the blade, please carefully hand wash with warm water, gentle dish soap, and non-abrasive sponge, and dry with a soft towel.  While using the blade, rinse and dry if the knife requires setting aside between different stages of food prep.  For long term storage, apply a food safe oil to the blade.
Most Japanese hand finished knives may have some minor scratches, dings, or imperfection on the blade or handle. This is normal and not out of the ordinary.
Pictures are of the exact model of knife, but not the individual knife for sale. There will be slight variation in handle color/pattern. It is no longer practical for me to list every knife in my inventory individually, but if requested, I'll try to send more specific pictures.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with inquiries!
