Stunning 1940’s Vintage Wedding Dress, Satin Underskirt, Hat & VeilFeatured in the Mademoiselle Bride Magazine, April 1948 edition which is included
"White as in wedding cake, the dress is made in Bloomsburg rayon faille taffeta.

An original satin underskirt is included as well as the head piece worn by the bride.
The head piece is taffeta adorned with small pearls and the original netting.
Some approximate measurements are provided..
Natural waist to front hem approx. 38"
Front bust from armpit to armpit 15" ~ likely 30" - 32" bust size
24" waist on the underskirt and at the natural waist line of the dress.
Covered buttons with loop closures adorn the front and bottom of the sleeves.
The color appears to be ivory as opposed to a true white.
This lovely 1940's taffeta dress is in overall good vintage condition.

here are some underarm stains and some soiling on the hemlines of the dress & underskirt.
It has been stored in a large silver box with the original blue tissue paper since in was
worn in 1948. The Mademoiselle Bride magazine authenticates the
date of this gown.
The original box is available, but is very large and has not been included in the shipping calculation. Please message me for photos and cost if you want the box as well.
(The box measures 30" x 20" x 8" and weighs 6 lbs without the dress ~
to be packed in a larger box will add substantial size and weight for shipping)
