I have been making these dragonflies for several years now.  And I couldn't resist taking photos of them in my patch of Louisiana Irises that are bloomed beautifully a couple of years ago.  I haven't had these for sale for a couple of years now.  But I have made several and am happy to put them back in my store.
The main photos show how these dragonflies look in a yard.  The beautiful garden showing dragonflies, butterflies, and ladybugs belongs to a very special customer who send me a photo and gave me permission to use it in my listing.  The first photos in the individual color listings show the actual dragonfly that is for sale.  Additional photos show how each looks in my yard during spring time.  Some show a comparison of colors that are available.
I designed the pattern for these. I think they are pretty special and hope you do too.
I leaded the wings and then used a piece of lead to make the dragonfly body. I put the lead in a vice to squash it and that also added tooling marks. It was one of those unexpected bonuses. The eyes are glass beads that I solder onto the body.
These little dragonflies have an approximate wingspan of 6-1/2 inches. The body is roughly 4 inches long and is flexible so you can bend it into a different shape if you desire. But don't try to bend the dragonfly wings.  They will break.  Ask me how I know.  I soldered the dragonfly to a galvanized stake, and the length with the stake is roughly 16 inches tall.

Shipping is based on one pound. It would be very easy to combine shipping for these, which I am most happy to do. eBay's combined postage are always wrong. So if you wait for me to send you an invoice, it will contain the actual postage.  I purchased special boxes just to mail these dragonflies.  Due to the weight of the box, one dragonfly ships as one pound.  But I can ship up to 4 dragonflies in the same box for 2 pounds.  Strange, I know, but that's just how it works.   So, please wait for my invoice if you purchase multiple dragonflies.   I will gladly help, just message me.
I'm trying to remember when I took my first stained glass lessons. Of all the things I've lost, I miss my memory the most!  But it was sometime in the late 1970's.  So, I have been doing stained glass work for many, many years. I take great pride in my work.
I also sell the stained glass angels that I make.  And I have butterflies cut out and ready to solder together.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a dragonfly kind of day!
