    Parts needed to replace the Capacitor and Resistor in
    American Flyer Steam or Diesel Air Chime Whistle or Diesel Horn.
    With Instructions and Wiring Diagrams.
    Does not include the speaker assembly.
    The kit is meant to replace a defective paper capacitor with a modern electrolytic capacitor.
    The resistor, which was not included in early models was added by Gilbert to increase the sound.
    This service assumes the speaker and control unit are functional.
    Those units that did not originally come with a resistor,
    the resistor is connected in parallel with the capacitor.
