A complete set of American Flyer No. 749 Street Lights with all original boxes.

Here we have something every lay-out needs -- street lights. This sale is for a complete set of American Flyer No. 749 Street Lights made in the 1950-1952 time frame. In 1950 Gilbert ended the earlier die-cast street lights and started buying these from Colber and then putting them in their own boxes. The Gilbert issued ones were gold while these lights were green when Colber sold them. The set includes three street lights. All three were tested and work. Minimal scenery debris on the base of one unit. However, two of the lights have some melt marks low on the posts from having the wire wrapped around the units. The plastic coating on the wire and the plastic of the lights did not interact well. The lights I will grade at C-6 and each has a good length of wire. The boxes are more along the lines of P-5 to P-6. All four boxes have some tape with some of the tape newer than some other tape. All flaps are present on the internal boxes, but many have been taped into place. Check the pictures as they are part of the description.

Train Shows are Returning!! I will be back on the road in August doing trains shows. The first will be August 8 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds near Chicago. I will also be doing a Great Train Expo show in Dayton, Ohio on August 14-15. I will be doing more shows in the fall as the dates are confirmed. I hope to see you at any upcoming shows. During the season I do various trains shows in the Midwest including the monthly Great Midwest Train Show at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Chicago as well as the two TCA Shows in York, PA along with some Great Train Shows. If you feel that our paths are going to cross at one of these shows and you want the trains hand-delivered that would be fine to help you save on postage. Still, pay for the item at the time of purchase here on Ebay, but no postage costs.
