    Real bullet brass cartridge handle on a ferrocerium rod type fire starter.
    This is one of the BIG BOYS, a .50 caliber handgun cartridge for a handle, on a 1/2 inch diameter Ferrocerium rod.
    If you can't start a fire with this, then you better start looking for help !
    A 1/2 in. Ferro rod will SHOWER your tinder with 3000 degree F. sparks for EASY ignition of dry tinder.
    This Ferrocerium rod fire starter doesn't care if it's snowing, raining, or windy ! It will even work after being at the bottom of the creek for awhile, try that with matches or a cigarette lighter !
    The video illustrates what a ferrocerium rod can do with my favorite tinder, a cotton ball soaked in petroleum jelly.  Sparks emitted from ferro-rod type fire starters can reach 3000 degrees for easy ignition of dry tinder.
    The back edge of the very sharp stainless steel folding credit card knife serves as a really good striker/scraper for the Ferro-rod. It can be used for light duty like making fuzz sticks for tinder, clean a fish, cut paracord & fishing line or serve up your dinner steak. It is extremely light and versatile and once it is unfolded, it really is about the size of a credit card. I carry one in my wallet for everyday use.
